We are a member of Association of Centers for Independent Living in Washington (ACIL-WA). The five Independent Living Centers and one satellite location belong to a 501 (C) (3) organization called ACIL-WA. These centers set state-wide standards for best practices and collaborate on projects to strengthen the independent living movement in Washington State. There are around 350 Independent Living Centers nationwide. We work closely with a governor's committee, the State Independent Living Council (SILC), to develop a State Independent Living Plan, which highlights our centers:
